For the first time, he felt a sense of fear. It wasn't that Damon frightened him, but there was something in his eyes, the way he looked at him. The way the emotion touched him. "Don't you trust me?" he asked, barely above a whisper, "why would I have anyone else if I'm doing this for you?"
