"Actually, I should have said I was going to make you wait for it," he corrected himself. "I had no intention of walking over here to get in your pants." He was serious about that. He didn't mean to get something started and even though that was te nature of their relationship, spontaneity wasn't part of his idea of booty call. There was no call involved.

"I'll let you get back to your book then." It was almost a question. He didn't quite ask though and instead Wylie stayed where he was, tensing to get up, but not quite moving. He wasn't sure what he was waiting for.
