"Thanks, man," Johnny replied as he tucked his wallet back away. It was definitely hard having to let her go every time he had her. Only he knew that nothing could be changed about it. His ex was always going to keep him at arm's length with their daughter. He just did the best he could when she was with him.
Johnny's eyebrow kicked up, and he wondered if there had to be more to what had been going on with Wylie than that, but apparently the other man wasn't suffering from verbal diarrhoea like he had been. "Fair enough."
